The only sound in the house is the clock loudly ticking away the minutes until suppertime. In the overstuffed easy chair, my oldest has made a little reading nest for herself out of a pillow, a blanket and several stuffed animals. On the couch, my middle child is also comfortably settled among the pillows and engrossed in a book. And over on the loveseat, the youngest flips through pages of her own, studying the pictures with interest.
There are few things that make my heart happier. All of my children have inherited a love of books. Each daughter has her own unique preferences, but they all enjoy reading. One of their favourite things about home education is the time that the family is able to spend getting lost in beautiful stories.
For this reason alone, staying home with the girls is worth it.

I’ve written about our favourite books many times on The Grace-Filled Life, and I thought it would be helpful to compile a list of those blog posts. I’ll continue to add to this, so don’t forget to bookmark it somewhere for future.
