Today marks exactly one year of the blog. What a year! What a journey! As I look back over the last twelve months, I am awestruck at what God can do in such a short period of time.

I started this blog because the Holy Spirit issued two challenges to me: to be more transparent and to WRITE. Pour my little heart out on the world wide web? It is one of the most frightening things I’ve ever done. And really, I reasoned, Who could possibly interested in what God is doing in little old me? I’m just a housewife!

I’ve learned over the past year to never say “I’m just a …”. God can use anyone, anywhere.

It has been a year of bumbling and fumbling, wandering and returning, growing and learning. I once wrote an extremely touching post that made everyone cry, only to discover later that I’d gotten every single one of my facts mixed up (yikes!). I’ve stuck both feet in my mouth a time or two (or three or four – thank goodness for that “edit” button!). I’m constantly trying to find the right balance between writing and taking proper care of my home and being a good wife and mom.

And yet, despite all of my mistakes and imperfections, God is using these little blurbs. Who knew? It’s so fun!

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey. For your encouragement, your time, your love. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds!
